Story:

Indigenous peoples are particularly renowned for their basket-weaving techniques. These baskets may then be traded for goods but may also be used for religious ceremonies. This artwork depicts a weaving basket. Aboriginal women use un-spun vegetable fibers and shape into a basket form, other materials include straw, animal hair, hide, grasses, thread and wood.
The artist carried on the tradition of Her hildhood memories of watching her mother and grandmothers weave baskets and create incredible patterns.
